Tan Tiong Kiat
Tan Tiong Kiat, a Malaysian, aged 42, is a Promoter, Group President / Executive Director and major shareholder of Mattan. He was appointed to our Board on 5 September 2017. He graduated with a Master of Business Administration from University of Wales in 2001. In 2004, he was admitted as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and was subsequently admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) in 2009. He has been a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) since 2006.
He began his career with Ernst & Young in 2001 until he left Ernst & Young in 2008 as an Audit Manager. Subsequently, he joined Pathgreen Energy Sdn Bhd, an environmental consultancy service provider, in 2008 as a general manager where he took on the role of a project director for the company’s projects. In this position, he was responsible for the management of the company’s projects including overall project design, procurement matters, overseeing the progress of subcontractors and client management. During his stint with Pathgreen Energy Sdn Bhd, he gained exposure in RE. He led Pathgreen Energy Sdn Bhd through the transition into RE solution provider before leaving the company in August 2012.
In September 2012, he established Mattan Engineering. On 1 January 2018, he was redesignated as the Group President / Executive Director of MATTAN. As the Group President / Executive Director, he is responsible for the overall management of Mattan Group. In addition, he also looks after the business development of Mattan Group and takes an active role in the growth of the business.
